Writing. Design. They're both about communication. And communication is about people.

I've always loved writing, but I've never felt I was any good at it. Are all authors late to arrive to their own careers? I hope at least some are.
To me, it's all communication at the end of the day. Design and writing are just different mediums for different purposes and different messages. I really want to be an author that communicates something meaningful, and helpful - and of course, to do so in such a way that is entertaining and interesting.
I finished my first short story in 2022, and continue to write any chance I get. If I can just get past my own unhelpful narratives - I hope that I can write some helpful ones - and maybe even some gripping yarns - for others! Watch this space.
My favorite authors are in the fantasy and science fiction space. I suspect a lot of what I write will be in those genres. My literary heroes are people like Patrick Rothfuss, John Scalzi, Brandon Sanderson, Will Wight, Peter V Brett, C. S. Lewis, J. R. R. Tolkien and Lois McMaster Bujold.
